Emotional Release Sessions
…are designed and lead by Somesh Valentino Curti (NIP and EuroPsy psychologist) and Tessa Nagtegaal (Holistic therapist). During these sessions we guide you to become more aware of the sensations and emotions at the core of your issue, to open up to these feelings and to express them in a dynamic and direct way.
The goal is to help you to fully meet your deep emotions and experience a possible release, in order to move from a position of feeling stuck and suffering to a position of freedom and opening.
If it’s anger.. let it out… If it’s fear… let it out…
Animals do this naturally, but in human beings the process of letting emotions move through our system is often stopped because of our Neo-cortex, our highly developed brain.
This part of the brain is very beautiful and useful to have, but is often in the way of experiencing emotions all the way through. We ‘think’ our way out of it.
Emotions therefore often don’t get the chance to be fully experienced and our system ends up storing all this emotional energy. We feel blocked, stressed, frustrated.
The goal of EMOTIONAL RELEASE THERAPY SESSIONS is to help you to fully meet your deep emotions and experience a possible release, in order to move from a position of feeling stuck and suffering to a position of freedom and opening.
How does it work?
At the beginning of the session we will have a short conversation in which you can present the emotional, physical or psychological issue you want to work on. Then, we focus in creating a “tailor made” process (about one hour) in which we integrate various body-oriented exercises according to your needs. For example : Bio-energetics, Focusing, Emotional Release Techniques, Relaxation and Breathing Exercises, Guided and Active Meditations, Family Constellations. Our work is to support you in your process of acceptance of your vulnerability and of free expression in a safe environment.
How can I start?
These sessions can be part of the individual or couple therapy that you have with Somesh or Tessa or with another therapist. They can also be a therapeutic process by itself. If your interest is the latter, we require an intake session to help you find out if this kind of sessions are appropriate for you.
